It’s been awhile...❤️

I had a friend mention my blog and I thought since it has been 3 years, I’d do an update.❤️ We’ve been through a lot...what matters most is that we are happy and together! In November 2017, our divorce was final and in March 2019, we remarried in Hawaii with Rowan by our side! What a journey we’ve had. I’ve learned so much...who my true friends are, my family loves me no matter what, but most of all, that the Lord has us. I was at my lowest of lows when my marriage fell apart, yet I made it though each day being the best momma and person I could. That’s God’s love! He never left my side. Nor Houston’s or Rowan’s. Rowan is now 10!! Whoa! He’s amazing and such a good boy! He makes straight A’s and he plays all of the sports...seriously. He makes us proud, daily! He won the spelling bee two years in a row at his school and just recently won the title of Mr. Crestline Elementary School. The joy in a parent’s heart when they see their child becoming a great human is indescribable. Even with one kiddo,it takes a village and I’m so thankful for ours.❤️ I am no writer. I am not creative, really. I watched “Still Alice” today and just wanted to do this update so years from now I’ll have it to look back on.;) ❤️❤️ I’ve attached some pics!

October 2016 :)

10 months later. I said I'd do better...so, I guess not waiting 3 years IS better! :) Life is SO good. Ya know, I have always had a good life, but now that I'm a tad bit older I truly know it. Yes, we had struggles. We probably had more struggles than most of my friends growing up, but we had a loving Mom that really didn't let us know how bad the struggles were. I've always appreciated and respected my Mom, but I have 100% more appreciation than I did when I was a young one. Rowan is 7 now. He's in first grade and rocking it. He's smart, kind, and pretty fun! Houston is still Principal at Lacey's Spring. I am still at Summerford! God has blessed us with great jobs! That's for sure! I will attach some pics of our life. : )

It's been TOO long.

My heavens! It's been over 3 years since I've written. There's been a lot to happen. I'll leave out the really bad parts! ;) My Mom moved back to Cullman so she's closer, Rowan is now 6 and in Kindergarten...smart as a whip, Houston is a Principal at Lacey's Spring School in Morgan County, I'm still at Summerford, got our new sweet puppy-Itsy, Chocolate went to heaven, Honey became an inside dog, friends getting married, friends building their first homes, friends have babies and more babies, still have the same amazing friends and also have some great new ones, and still SO very blessed! I will attach some pictures from the last 3 years! :)

Update on life! :)

Well, June was fabulous! Ended the month with one of my best friends, Tara, getting married! It was absolutely perfect and I am SO happy for her and Steadman! :) Houston went to Germany for two weeks and he had a great time, but Rowan and I missed him terribly. Mom kept Rowan for a week while he was gone, too, so I caught up on housework and relaxed a little bit. ;) We have been working on potty training and it's going well! Last night Rowan slept in his big boy undies all night and has pottied all day today, too! :) Prayers are appreciated for this! We go on vacation soon and I cannot wait to have some time off from work and relax with the family and see MY MOM! :) Rowan will be 3 next month...SO hard to believe! Here are a few pictures! :)

The last few months have been SO busy! I love it, though! I have seen my friends, spent lots and lots of time with Houston and Rowan and have loved every minute of it! :) Here are a few pictures of everything! :)

WOW! It's so crazy how time flies!!!
Rowan is so much fun now, but has developed himself a temper! :) (I don't know where he gets that from!) ;) He is talking lots and lots and saying sentences and knows so much more than we realized! He plays angry birds on my cell phone and actually knows HOW to play!

Life has been very busy! We had a great Halloween and Thanksgiving and then traveled to Chattanooga for a little family weekend, which was great!

Christmas is going to be super exciting too! I get to see my girlfriends the next 3 weekends in a ROW!! YAY! This is awesome news to share because I miss them SO very much!

Almost 2...

I am actually writing this on Rowan's birthday, but I'm late, so the title is for last month. :) We have been very busy around here! Rowan is talking more and doing so much! He is just a blessing and I couldn't imagine my life without him! Don't get me wrong, he is wild at times...but, aren't we all? ;) He is doing okay sleeping in his big boy bed,but about 3 times a week he will wake and come get in bed with us.

I must talk about my friends in this blog. They are the BEST. I have had some personal issues and without them I have NO clue what I'd do! Thank you and I love you ALL!!

Rowan is 22 months old! :)

We have been SO very busy around here lately! :) And, I'm loving it! We all are in bed by 10-10:30 every night so that shows we are crazy busy during the day! Houston starts 3 grad school classes in July, so we've been doing a lot in June, especially these last few days that we have together!
Rowan really enjoys going to the splashpad in Hartselle, swimming, and just playing outside in general! He finished his swimming lessons last Thursday, but is not swimming. ;) They were fun, though! He did learn to kick, but is not sure what to do with his arms just yet...swimming lessons at 1 year old I guess aren't supposed to train them for the olympics. It was more like playtime, actually! Rowan really loved the slide and to go under a LOT!!
We converted Rowan's crib to the full size bed on his 22nd month birthday...he woke up 3 nights in a row around 3 a.m., but has done good since! I had a lot of friends on facebook tell me to get him a glow-worm...I did and he LOVES it! So, hopefully that will help him sleep better! He is starting to say a few words at a time and it's so stinking cute! He can pretty much make ALL animal sounds and is obsessed with cows and horses. He actually took one of his cows and a horse to Point Mallard on Friday with us. ;) There's nothing like it.
July is going to be very busy for us as well! I look forward to all of the fun events coming up! Oh, and I have Rowan's birthday venue reserved and have ordered his cake...we are going with Sesame Street theme! (When I was pregnant I found some cups and plates that were Sesame Street for 2.00 so I must use them!)
