Losing Charmin. :(

Well, most of my friends know Houston and I have had Charmin since July 2006. She was our first child. :) She was a blessing and we definitely have MANY fabulous memories of and with her! :) Last night Houston and I were leaving the house and she ran under his truck and we accidentally ran over her. It was extremely traumatic...we took her to the vet right away and he took xrays for us. Her back left leg was broken in many spots so we were planning to amputate today if she showed any movement in her other back leg...just so we would know she could use the other one. The vet tried many times to get her to move her other leg, but she did not have any nerve feelings in the back area of her body and there were no solutions to any of her problems, so we had to have her put to sleep. Today has been horrible, but I have to remember there is a reason for everything. I sure will miss her sleeping with us...she was one of the best pets I have ever had. We will have her cremated tomorrow and will have her in a beautiful urn. :) Thank you for all of the prayers and love. I am blessed to have such supportive people in my life. Thank you God for giving me the chance to have Charmin in my life! :) And for giving Houston and I the strength to go on without her.

Moving around! :)

Well, I've been a little concerned because I've read in all of the baby books that you will most likely begin to feel movement from your little one around 17 weeks or so, but I definitely have not. UNTIL...last night!!! At 20 weeks and 1 day along and felt Rowan moving around for the first time!!! It was the coolest thing EVER!!! I think he was kicking me...probably trying to get his Daddy to turn the tv off. :) Houston loved it!!! We just sat there feeling it kick/punch us!!! Anywho...thought I would tell everyone that!!! We were so stinking excited!! My next appt. is April 27th, which will probably be just a boring one, but the one after that in May should be our neat 4d one! YAY! I get to see Aubrey and some of her family this weekend, so hopefully he will kick for them! :) She will love it!! Haha...will update later!

Baby Rowan! :) 18 weeks old

IT'S A....

BOY! :) We are so excited! Please continue to keep us in your prayers! We appreciate all the support and happiness from our friends and family! Baby Blackwood will love you all so much! :)

Almost 14 weeks! :)

Happy as can be!

Well, yesterday I went for my 14 week Dr. appt and everything is going great!!! :) I have gained 10 pounds, which feels like 20! But, the Dr. said that it's okay and we also go to hear the heartbeat again! This time it was 150!!! It is still so exciting every single time we get to do that! :) It just feels like time is flying by and I know it will continue to do so after Baby Blackwood is here!! That saddens me already!!!

My pregnancy so far has been great!!!! No sickness at all, just VERY tired! I have been to visit some friends...went to Blair's wedding last weekend and stayed with Aubs and Tara, which was lots of fun! Aubs took me maternity clothes shopping and helped me pick out some cute stuff!! I love it all and cannot wait to wear it!! (If it still fits!) Hehe...Houston has begun to talk to the baby a little bit and I love it!!! He also assists me once in awhile putting stretch mark cream on my tummy!!! He's so excited! I know he'll be a fabulous Daddy! My friends have been so excited for us and so supportive! I know our baby will love them just as much as we do!!! It excites me to bring our child into this family/friend circle of happiness!!! We find out what "it" is on March 30th, which is Aubs' birthday...what a gift, huh!! :)

Next thing!I am getting super duper excited about our annual girls beach trip at the end of May! It is getting so close and I definitely need it!!!! We always have the GREATEST time! I'm going to prove those people wrong who keep saying I'm not gonna make it! :) I'll be there with my super hot momma swimsuit on! Guaranteed! Haha...Will update later! Kyla
