Almost 3 months old...

Rowan will be 3 months old on Thanksgiving...WOW, how time flies!! :) He is such a blessing to us and I honestly don't know what Houston and I did with our time before him. I return to work on December 1st and My Mother (NANA) will keep Rowan during the week for us...which will be fantastic! I realized being at home for this short time that I really love my job and my money.(Poor Houston has been supporting me completely since I didn't have maternity leave...I had only been at my job 11 months when he was born.) I'm not saying I haven't loved being at home with Rowan AT ALL...I just know that I am meant to be at my job. :) I admire the ladies who are stay at home Mothers, because it's definitely harder than any other job I have ever had!!!

It's amazing how a little smile can brighten your whole day...especially one as cute as this. :)

A little update! :)

ROWAN IS 10 WEEKS OLD TODAY!! Time is flying by. I have one month before I go back to work and I'm a little worried. :( My Mom will be keeping him, so I have no concerns about that, but I know that this precious time will just fly by and I don't wanna miss a thing!!! :) Rowan is growing so much! At his 2 month appt. he was 23 inches long and weighed 12.6 lbs. :) Maybe he won't be short like his Mommy!!! Last night he slept from 10:45-4:45 and I woke up and was like,"OH MY GOODNESS!!!" I actually woke Houston up to tell him, which I probably shouldn't have done since it was my night to get up, but I was just so excited!!

Anywho...I go this weekend with Aubrey to the Bama/lsu game and am going to stay the night with her. Houston will have Rowan all by himself overnight!!! He is absolutely fabulous with him, so no worries there!!!! I think it will be good for me to have some time away just to get used to it before I go back to work! My friend, Stacy & her little girl, Kaylee are coming Friday to hang out with us!!! Kaylee is precious!! I'm also going to get my niece, Zoe, Friday morning so she can meet Kaylee!! They are very close in age, so it should be a fun day! Houston and I were saying that we are growing up because we are looking forward to playdates with kiddos!!! :)

Houston's football team (Hartselle) is 8-2 now and the first round of the playoffs are this weekend, so wish them luck!!! :) I want them to win, but also look forward to Houston being able to spend more time at home!!!

2 months old!! WOW!

Rowan was 2 months old yesterday. :) It's flying by, but I know it will be more fun as the days go by, too!!! He gets his shots today & I'm terrified. :( Hopefully he won't cry for long!!!! He's so sweet...and smiles a good bit these days!!! I love seeing him doing new things and definitely get pictures of absolutely everything...one day he'll be thankful for that!!! He wakes up once a night most nights and hopefully will be snoozing right through within the next few weeks. I go back to work on Dec. 1st and he will be staying with my Mom, A.K.A. Nana :) He will definitely be spoiled!! I have never imagined loving someone this much...although, I thought I couldn't love beyond my wonderful husband. Houston is such a great Daddy...as soon as he gets home in the evenings he spends time with Rowan and you can tell he is STILL on cloud 9!!! We are blessed to have such a healthy son and such fabulous people to share him with! He will have more Aunts and Uncles than anyone I know! :)

6 weeks old!!! :)

Rowan is 6 weeks old today!!! Wow, how time flies!!! He is absolutely wonderful...even at 3 a.m. :)

ROWAN IS HERE!!!! :)

Rowan Bryant Blackwood arrived on August 26, 09 at 1:08 P.M. :) He was 7lb3oz and 20 inches long! :) We are so excited he is finally here!!! :) Please continue to keep us in your prayers as we settle into parenthood.

Our little one...

isn't ready! :) I haven't dilated anymore. Dr. says my dizziness is normal for this far in my pregnancy as long as it's not too extreme. And, I'm having contractions, just not enough to do anything. So...Rowan's doing great, just not ready, which is okay! 13 days or less he will be here! Dr. did say he wouldn't let me go past my due date!!! :) I'm getting so excited!!! :)

I go to the Dr. tomorrow instead of Thursday this week. Had some funny feelings today at work...so, I decided to go ahead and see him early. Pray for us...thanks!
